IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism Adoptions
In recent years, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism has emerged as the global “gold standard” in the collective effort against rising contemporary Jew-hatred, in all its manifestations.
The definition’s far-reaching impact is rooted in the broad-based consensus that has formed around it, with more than 1,300 entities worldwide adopting or endorsing it as an essential tool to delineate what constitutes prejudiced behavior toward the Jewish people, with the following countries and U.S. states among them.

🇩🇴 BREAKING: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC ADOPTS IHRA DEFINITION OF ANTISEMITISM
President Luis Abinader made the announcement at CAM’s sixth-annual Latin American Forum Against Antisemitism in Santo Domingo declaring that antisemitism “is a threat to democratic coexistence and to the rights and freedoms of us all.”
With this move, the Dominican Republic becomes the 7th Latin American nation to formally adopt the IHRA Working Definition joining Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, and Uruguay.
U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism Rabbi Ambassador Yehuda Kaploun called it a “historic moment” and urged every country in the region to follow suit.

🇹🇷 Istanbul, Turkey | August 16, 2026: A disturbing antisemitic display accuses Israel of genocide through blatant Holocaust inversion.
Lists of Palestinian victims presented in a Holocaust-style memorial. Israeli flags covered in blood and Nazi swastikas, laid across the ground to be walked over.

🇺🇸 Washington, D.C. | August 2026: Antisemitic extremists turned the street outside the Israeli Embassy into a grotesque spectacle of Jew hatred.

Under French law, refusing service based on religion is criminal discrimination, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a €75,000 fine.
🇹🇭 Thailand | August 2026: A Jewish family was assaulted at a zoo in front of their young daughters.
Refused entry for saying they were Israeli, the mother was hit by a French employee who threatened her in French:
“Hurry up or I’ll rip your head off. Fuck your grandmother!”
🇫🇷 France | August 2026: “I thought there was a chance our lives would end here.”
An Israeli man and his partner were surrounded and brutally beaten by a group of attackers in a homophobic attack at Sherwood Parc, north of Paris.
Punches, kicks, sticks. All because they were holding hands.
No one was arrested at the scene.
🇮🇹 Rome, Italy | August 7–8, 2026: A 22-year-old French Jewish tourist wearing a kippah was attacked twice on two consecutive days in central Rome.
On August 7, he was sprayed in the face with pepper spray.
The following evening, he was attacked and kicked by a group of four.
During both attacks, the assailants shouted “Free Palestine.”
Italian authorities identified a 31-year-old Algerian man involved in both attacks.
Has it become impossible to enjoy Rome while visibly Jewish?
🇫🇷 France | August 2026: At a local French supermarket, an Australian Jewish couple was threatened by an Irish man who told them:
“Too bad Hitler didn’t finish the job.”
He then threatened to put “A FUCKING BULLET IN YOUR HEAD.”

🇫🇷 Malakoff, France | August 4, 2026: A Jewish-owned dry-cleaning business was destroyed after Molotov cocktails were thrown at the shop overnight.
The owner, Isaac, is described by a local resident as a well-known and beloved member of the neighborhood who openly expresses his Jewish identity.
His business was left completely devastated.
“Never Again” was supposed to mean no more Kristallnacht, the “Night of Broken Glass,” when Jewish businesses and synagogues across Europe were burned to the ground in 1938.

🇬🇷 Athens, Greece | August 9, 2026: During nationwide “Day of Rage” anti-Israel protests across Greece, a Jewish couple was physically attacked after being identified as Israelis.
Protesters pushed and kicked them while shouting “Free Palestine” and “Zionist murderers.”
🇺🇸 San Diego, California | August 10, 2026: Jewish students at UC San Diego were targeted with antisemitic and racist graffiti at an off-campus residence where members of the Jewish fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) live.
Swastikas, “KKK,” “DIE AEPI,” and “JEW” were spray-painted across the walls.
AEPi condemned the attack declaring: “It will not succeed. AEPi will not be silenced or deterred.”

🇮🇱 Jerusalem | August 9, 2001: 25 years ago today, 15-year-old Malki Roth was murdered in the Sbarro suicide bombing, alongside 14 other innocent people, including seven children, in one of the deadliest Palestinian terrorist attacks of the Second Intifada.
Ahlam Tamimi, who helped carry out the attack, was released from prison in 2011 and today lives freely in Jordan despite being wanted by the United States.
For 25 years, Malki’s father, Arnold Roth, has fought to bring her to justice.
